Their story of God’s grace in the midst of tragedy is life-changing.”- BJ Rutledge, Lead Pastor, Grace Fellowship Church, Paradise, TX
In 2012, our first full-year of ministry, with God’s blessing and your support, we have:
- Personally shared our life-changing message of Hope in Christ with thousands of people at 41 speaking and singing events across the country.
- Electronically shared our story internationally via television, online churches and blogs.
- Produced Eli’s first CD of original praise and worship songs, called Nothing Is Impossible.
- Helped a 4-year-old disabled child by funding temporary shelter and a replacement walker when his family was displaced by fire.
In 2013, with God’s blessing and your help, we will:
- Launch a Ministry Tour across the country.
- Release our book (working title “I Will Rise”) allowing people to dig deeper into our story and apply many more spiritual lessons to their own lives.
- Continue helping to break down access barriers for special needs children and their families.
To make this happen, we need your help!
$36,000 is needed to achieve these 2013 Goals!
HERE’S HOW WE WILL USE YOUR DONATIONS:
Eli’s Therapy & Equipment - $14,000
Though we are blessed with good health insurance, it does not cover most of Eli’s rehabilitation expenses. Since his accident in 2003, we have spent out-of-pocket up to $20,000 annually to ensure that Eli receives the best treatment possible. Now that we are in ministry, we cannot cover these expenses on our own.

iPad – $750
An Apple iPad (with case) touchscreen computer will be used for therapeutic and educational purposes as a tool to help increase Eli’s independence and make the tasks of daily living easier. The size and portability of an iPad make it ideal for Eli. It has a large screen, apps and features which make it accessible despite his visual impairments. Some of the characteristics of Eli’s brain injury that can be addressed are poor balance, poor fine-motor coordination, one-sided limb weakness, reduced motor speed, spatial disorientation, poor endurance for physical activity, visual deficits, and headaches. However, the greatest impact that the iPad will make is in the area of memory.
The iPad will assist with neurological organization, planning, problem solving, thinking
quickly, abstract thinking, comprehension, and multi-tasking. It will also help to compensate for poor memory by enabling him to keep his own calendar and schedule, keep track of his chores, and so much more!
Relox™ Brain Therapy – $5500
Ever since traditional recovery therapies stopped producing major improvements for Eli, less than one year after his accident, we have pursued alternative therapies for him which are generally uninsured and require travel. Many of these therapies result in dramatic functional improvements for Eli. However, results are never guaranteed. The only way to know if they will help improve function is to try them.
The next therapy that we believe will help Eli is called Relox™. It is a nutritional therapeutic technique using vitamins and minerals orally and intravenously while using oxygen by mask. Herbs and other nutrients are taken orally to produce a synergistic effect. The technique was designed to refresh, oxygenate, and “wake up” brain cells that are still alive but not fully functional.
The treatment protocol is delivered over five consecutive days in Washington, D.C. and requires two additional trips for pre- and post-treatment brain scans and evaluations. Treatment will be scheduled as soon as we raise the money.
Bath Retrofit – $7750
As Eli has grown physically, we can no longer lift him in and out of the bathtub. His bathroom needs to be retrofitted for a tub that enables him to bathe independently.
Retail cost of this tub installed is $14,500. However, generous friends from our home church have offered to donate the labor for the project and we have found discounted parts for just $7750.
Book Publishing and Promotion – $12,000
A published book will be our greatest tool in reaching the most people possible with our message of Hope In Christ. We are currently writing the book about our story, with the working title “I Will Rise”. While we are working to receive a publishing contract by a major book publisher, many of the promotional costs are still our responsibility. We will use this money to hire a professional publicist and complete a six-month cross-country media campaign for our book release.
Travel Scholarships – $10,000
We currently have churches in Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin who have invited us to share our ministry but cannot afford the travel expense. This money will be used to cover travel expenses to these and other churches who cannot otherwise afford those expenses.
You can make a Donation right now!
Remember, no gift is too small and Tiller Family Ministries is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization so your donations are tax-deductible!
Thank you for partnering with us to share Eli and our message with the world!
